The Garden Club of Cumberland
Organized in 1956, the goal of the Garden Club of Cumberland is to educate its members in home interior and exterior gardening. Extensions of this goal include flower arranging, garden therapy, and maintenance of city parks. Members are encouraged to protect the environment and gain an appreciation for wildlife and conservation of natural areas.

LaVale Volunteer Rescue Squad, Inc.
The LaVale Volunteer Rescue Squad has been providing volunteer emergency care to the citizens and visitors to LaVale, Maryland, and the surrounding communities of Allegany County since 1969.
